Description

Celebrate your best animal friend with a traditionally-painted portrait in oil! These high quality, hand-painted artworks are created from photos you send us and are painted by the very talented Eric Lake. You’ll get an opportunity to review the painting before it’s finalized and delivered. These uniquely painted portraits also make great gifts! Painted on hardboard and delivered unframed. Shipping is free in the Continental U.S.

    I came across Barkshire Dog Trading Co while searching the web for custom pet paintings. I wanted to have our two cats painted as a Christmas gift for my wife. I was so impressed with how Eric captured their spirit from the pictures I sent him. My wife was thrilled with the gift! Eric and Barkshire kept in close communication throughout the process, which I really appreciated. I cannot recommend Eric and his work enough!

    I have two rescue Staffies and Eric loved Atlas upon meeting her at an outdoor market. When I saw other paintings he had completed, I was fascinated at his capture of light, and how the subjects he paints seem luminously alive. The painting of Atlas is just beautiful and captures the sparkle in her eyes. I can’t wait to have her brother painted also! Thank you, Eric: I love her portrait!

    While finding our summer refuge in the Berkshires this year we were fortunate to come across Eric Lake at the Lenox Market. His pet portraits immediately caught our eye and we commissioned a portrait of Maya, our 2 year old Australian Labradoodle. When we talked with Eric and told him how Maya helped to fill our lives with love and affection since the passing of our son a year earlier, we knew it caught Eric’s heart. We felt safe with the creation of Maya’s portrait being in Eric’s hands. The resulting portrait just blew us away! Eric not only captured Maya’s look, but her personality as well. Domestic shipping (U.S.)

Please allow 2-4 business days for processing orders of both digital and physical products. Occasionally, scheduled events, holiday postal closures and other unforeseen circumstances may represent a shipping delay. When such delays are anticipated, we will either display a banner on our website and/or email you if you have an order being processed.

Shipping methods

We offer an easy Flat Rate shipping of $5.95 via USPS or UPS ground! Rush options may be enabled for certain products.

International shipping

We don't currently offer international shipping. If you have a special needs case, please reach out to us and we'd be happy to consider your request on a case-by-case basis!

If you are not happy with your product, please reach out to us within 30 days of your purchase delivery so we can resolve the issue for you!

Damaged goods

If an item arrives defective, or does not withstand normal wear and tear to an acceptable degree, we will send out a new item of the same size and style at no additional cost. 

Returns/Exchanges

Unused and undamaged products can be exchange or refunded for the full price of the item as soon as the item is returned. Original poly mailer packaging has an additional adhesive closure for easy use in the return process.

We do not currently offer free shipping for exchanges or returns.
